Project History
In August 2020, the Town of Lexington and the Project Team debuted the 2020 preferred alternative design after screening eight (8) alternatives to address the project's purpose and need. These alternatives included road widening and various new location roadways. Each was evaluated based on environmental impacts, right-of-way impacts, current traffic level of service (LOS) and predicted LOS.
